Speaking at the meeting, President Tran Dai Quang, who is also the committee's head, spoke highly of the office’s performance in 2017, positively helping the CSCJR to complete its working programme over the past year.

The President highlighted the CSCJR’s task in bringing the politburo resolution on the strategy for judicial reform until 2020 to life.

He stressed that the process aims to cement a socialist law-governed state and create a justice system which is unblemished, strong and fair.

He asked the standing office to closely adhere to the basic points mentioned in the Party Central Committee’s resolutions and recommend suitable policies and solutions related to judicial reform.

In addition, the office is tasked with coordinating with the functional agencies of the National Assembly and the Government in appraising and proposing that the NA adopts amendments and supplements to perfect the law projects in line with the Party's resolutions.
