Vietnam, Russia intensify judicial cooperation

A delegation of the Supreme People’s Court of Vietnam led by Chief Justice Nguyen Hoa Binh paid a working visit to Russia from March 28-31.

During the meeting with Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation V.M. Lebedev, the two sides exchanged views on their countries’ cooperation in the judicial field, organisational structure, and experience in professional activities of the Supreme Courts of their respective countries.

On the basis of the signed agreements, the two countries have achieved positive results as well as regularly exchanged experience in law building and trial organisation, said Chief Justice Nguyen Hoa Binh.

For his part, Chief Justice Lebedev confirmed that the Russian side is always willing to exchange information and would direct the relevant units to support proposals made by the Vietnamese delegation.

During their stay in Russia, the Vietnamese delegation also held meetings with the Judicial Department at the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, the Moscow Province Court, and paid a visit to the Vietnamese Embassy in Russia.
