Politburo member and Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh made the requirement while attending a teleconference held by the Government Inspectorate on July 18 to review its operation in the first six months of 2019.
Reports at the meeting showed that among the violations found during the first half of this year, the concerned authorities have proposed withdrawal of about VND34.5 trillion to the State budget, along with 142 ha of land.
As many as 44 cases involving 73 individuals were transferred to investigation police agencies for further review and settlement.
Speaking at the event, Deputy PM Binh praised efforts made by the inspection sector, contributing to improving the effectiveness and efficiency of State management, maintaining legal discipline and ensuring political security and social order and safety to serve the country's socio-economic development.
He asked the Government Inspectorate and inspection agencies of the relevant ministries, sectors and localities to carry out well planned unexpected inspections and effectively implement specialised inspections.
The Government Inspectorate was requested to build and submit an orientation for inspection programmes in 2020 for Government approval, while strictly implementing citizen reception and denunciation settlement in line with the direction of the PM, Binh requested.
