Speaking at the conference, PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc affirmed legal institutions are an important foundation for national construction and development.

The PM noted that in the past five years, the legal system of Vietnam has continued to be perfected and developed in a balanced manner across all fields.

While almost all economies fell into recession due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, with synchronous and drastic direction in implementing the “dual goals”, Vietnam has maintained positive growth, at approximately 3% this year.

The Government leader also underscored the important role and responsibilities of the judicial sector in the coming period and urged it to make active contributions to perfecting Vietnamese law in terms of international integration and ensure the consistency of the Vietnamese legal system.

It is necessary to focus on implementing the tasks and solutions stated in Directive No. 43 of the Prime Minister on building and completing the legal system and improving the quality of law enforcement; as well as overcoming any inconsistencies and overlaps in the legal system.
