On behalf of the 12th Party Central Committee and with my own, I would like to express my sincere thanks to delegates who elected us to the supreme organ of the Party. We are deeply aware of our great responsibility towards the Party, the people and the country. This is a great honour and tremendous encouragement for us to exert every effort to fulfil the tasks and lead the country to overcome difficulties and challenges to develop further in the coming time.

Our country’s achievements over the past tenure have been closely attached to the leadership of the Party, the administration of the State, and the outstanding efforts of the entire Party, people and army. The 12th Party Central Committee highly values the great contributions made by members of the Party Central Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat of the 11th tenure. We would like to extend our best wishes and good health to you and hope you would continue to make further contributions to the Party, the people and the nation.
We vow to the Congress, the whole Party and the people that the 12th Party Central Committee will join the entire Party to continue to uphold the fine traditions and valuable experience of the Party, strengthening the unity and unanimity in will and actions, and promote innovation in thinking and creatively applying and developing Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought, being consistent towards the goal of national independence and socialism, innovating methods and working style of the Party’s leading bodies from the central to the grassroots levels in a systematic, practical and democratic manner, as well as promoting close bonds with the people, completing all assigned tasks, and contributing to successful realisation of the Resolution of the 12th National Party Congress.
We hope to receive support from the revolutionary veterans, former leaders of the Party, the State, the Fatherland Front, mass organisations, central agencies, ministries, branches, and localities, as well as people from all walks of life and soldiers from across the country, overseas Vietnamese, and international friends.
On the occasion of the upcoming Lunar New Year 2016, I would like to wish the revolutionary veterans, distinguished guests, delegates, people and soldiers throughout the country a New Year full of health, happiness and success.
