Vietnam’s women team beat Spanish club in friendly match

Vietnam’s national women football squad scored a 3-0 win over Cordoba Club in a friendly match on January 4, as part of a training tour in Spain in preparation for the Asian cup.

Cordoba are playing in Spain’s second division and currently rank 8th out of 16 teams.

Vietnam got off to a good start and Nguyen Thi Van scored the opener in the 27th minute, with the second goal made by Thanh Nha in the 44th minute.

Vietnamese players continued to dominate the second half of the match and increased the goal difference to three in the 60th minute when Pham Hai Yen defeated the goalkeeper of Cordoba with an assist from Huynh Nhu.

The team are scheduled to have another friendly and final match against Huelva Club on January 5.
