Head of VTV Editorial Secretariat, Nguyen Ha Nam said the acquired rights covered exclusive broadcasting via terrestrial, cable and satellite television and radio, as well as mobile and internet devices nationwide.
The television network will share its broadcast copyright with local television and radio stations and pay TV service suppliers, if they register and gain permits from the International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA).
It will televise all 64 matches live, along with pre-match build up and post-match analysis, on channels VTV3 and VTV6.
The 2014 FIFA World Cup will take place in Brazil from June 12 to July 13, with the participation of 32 teams from around the globe.
