NDO/VNA—Vietnam has jumped to No. 2 in the Southeast Asian region as per FIFA’s October ranking, which was released on October 20.

With 231 points, the Vietnamese squad is placed at No. 136 in the world—five places higher than last month.

The top position among ASEAN member countries goes to the Philippines, who are world No. 124. Thailand is third, down eleven places to No. 146.

There is only one new team in the world top ten, with former world and European champions Spain jumping to No. 10, replacing Wales.

Argentina maintains the No. 1 position, followed by Germany and Brazil, both going up by one place. Belgium and Colombia are down to No. 4 and No. 5, respectively. Chile remains at No. 6, while France is up one step at No. 7, pushing European winner Portugal down to No. 8.
