Nguyen Thi That wins first stage of Biwase Cycling Cup

NDO/VNS - Nguyen Thi That holds the yellow and green jerseys after the end of the first stage of the Binh Duong International Women’s Cycling Tournament, which kicked off in Binh Duong province on February 28.

The former Asian champion of Loc Troi An Giang Group finished the three laps, amounting to 66km around Binh Duong City, first in a time of 1hr 47.44min to secure the overall lead.

Miho Yoshikawa of Elephant Fertiliser Binh Duong came second and Jutatip Maneephan of Thailand was third.

National team member That was also the best sprinter of the stage and grabbed the green jersey.

Today, the second stage runs from Thu Dau Mot City of Binh Duong Province to Dau Tieng District and back, for a total 110km.

The 10th cycling tournament which is known as the Biwase Cup has drawn almost 200 athletes from 11 local and international teams. They will race across 10 stages, covering more than 1,000km.
