Held by the Da Nang Department of Culture and Sports, the tournament attracted 110 paragliders from 10 clubs across the country. They will compete individually and in teams.
The event is being held at Son Tra Peninsula, the most beautiful flying destination in Vietnam.
According to the organisers, the tournament aims to assess the paragliding skills of domestic athletes, and thus prepare for regional and international events, while promoting the sport in Vietnam.
The race will last till July 19.
