Vietnam to host two events at Army Games 2021

The second virtual conference to discuss preparations for the organisation of the International Army Games in 2021 was held across 13 venues on March 18.

The event is scheduled to take place from August 22 to September 4. In addition to Russia, there are currently 12 countries that co-host the Games, including: Armenia, Algeria, Belarus, Iran, India, Kazakhstan, Qatar, China, Mongolia, Serbia, Vietnam and Uzbekistan.

There are currently 203 teams from 23 countries and territories registered to participate in the Games.

In the context of the complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Organising Board requiresteams coming to Russia or other host countries to have certificates with negative COVID-19 verification or certificates of previous vaccine injection.

Speaking at the conference, Major General Tran Van Ba, Deputy Director of the Department of Politico-Military Training under the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army said Vietnam is preparing to host two events of Rescue and Sniper.

He expressed his wish that countries will send teams to participate in the events held in Vietnam.
