Ronaldo returns ‘home’ to Man Utd

After an unsuccessful 2020-2021 season with Juventus, the news that Ronaldo wanted to leave the Turin club was constantly mentioned by the media. Against such backdrop, Juve confirmed that Ronaldo would stay and the Portuguese star himself also played from the bench in Juve’s new season opening match in Serie. A.

However, from August 26, information that Ronaldo's agent Jorge Mendes had contacted Man City continuously appeared. Many sources also confirmed it was almost 99.9% certain that CR7 would head to The Citizens.

On August 27, Ronaldo cleaned out his closet at Juventus, said goodbye to his teammates and boarded a private plane to Lisbon. A few hours later, the media confirmed that Man City would not sign Ronaldo, and that rivals Man Utd were approaching Ronaldo.
