September sees the 2022 World Cup Qualifiers take place not just in Asia but across other continents around the world as well. The FIFA poster depicting a flat world football map aims to spread an animated atmosphere ahead of the event.

The poster features the avatar of the best player of each participating country, with Tien Linh chosen as the representative of Vietnam. He is joined by other football stars of the AFC region including Son Heung-min (Republic of Korea), Maya Yoshida (Japan), Wu Lei (China), and Mehdi Tarimi (Iran).

The poster can’t be without the presence of world-leading stars such as Lionel Messi (Argentina), Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal), Neymar (Brazil), Jorginho (Italy), Kylian Mbappe (France), and Erling Haaland (Norway).

This is a special honour for Tien Linh. In the second round of the Asian Qualifiers, he demonstrated a prolific form to become Vietnam’s top scorer with five goals, including a superb goal in a home match against the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Striker Nguyen Tien Linh (C) is believed to be one of the starring players of Park Hang-seo's Vietnamese side in the upcoming final round of the 2022 World Cup Qualifiers.

Recently, in an article on its website, the Asian Football Federation (AFC) also named Tien Linh together with midfielder Nguyen Quang Hai and captain Que Ngoc Hai as the three starring players of the Vietnamese squad for the forthcoming round of the World Cup Asian Qualifiers.

The 24-year-old striker will join his teammates to meet Saudi Arabia in their Group B opener at 1pm on September 3 (Vietnamese time).

The final round of the Asian Qualifiers will feature 12 teams, divided into two groups to play home-and-away round-robin matches. The top two teams of each group will directly qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, while the two third-placed teams will advance to the Asian playoff to determine which side will advance to the international playoff.
