Vietnam to compete in 2016 Asian U23 final round

U23 Vietnam is scheduled to leave for Doha (Qatar) on December 31 to compete in the final round of the 2016 Asian U23 Football Championships.

Vietnam will face the U23 teams of Jordan, Australia, and the UAE in Group D.

Vietnam will face the U23 teams of Jordan, Australia, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in Group D on January 14, 17, and 20, respectively. 

Prior to the official matches in Group D, U23 Vietnam will have two friendlies with U23 Yemen on January 4 and U23 Japan on January 7. 

The final round of the 2016 Asian U23 Football Championships is scheduled to take place from January 12-30 with the participation of 16 teams, divided into four groups.

Vietnam and Thailand are the only two Southeast Asian teams competing at the tournament.

The top three teams in the finals will represent the Asia region to compete in the 2016 Olympics in Brazil.
