Accordingly, the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued an announcement on June 14 suggesting that Vietnamese citizens carefully examine regulations by Russia and the World Cup’s organisers (on FIFA’s website at www.fifa.com), regarding exemptions for entry/exit visas (with valid passport and Fan ID), temporary residence registration (within three days of entry), and prohibited activities during their stay in Russia.

They were advised to bring along warm clothing to stay healthy due to the low temperatures in several local areas, as well as carrying personal identification and belongings and complying with the rules of the host country to avoid regrettable legal issues, in addition to behaving civilly without extreme acts that could negatively affect Vietnam’s image.

To ensure the security and safety of Vietnamese fans in Russia during World Cup, the Vietnamese Embassy in Russia has requested the host Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other relevant authorities to facilitate their temporary stays and provide security for Vietnamese supporters.

In case of emergency support, Vietnamese fans should contact the following citizen protection hotlines as followed: the Vietnamese Embassy in Russia at + 7-903-182-1617, the Vietnamese Consulate-General in Ekaterinburg at +7-343-253-0284/+7-965-506-6868, the Consulate-General in Vladivostok at +7-914-708-0939, and the Citizen Protection Hotline at +84-981-848-484.
