* Porto stayed two points behind arch rivals Benfica in the Primeira Liga title race after hammering Aves 4-0 at home on Saturday in an emotional atmosphere in the first game since goalkeeper Iker Casillas suffered a heart attack in training. Porto are on 79 points with two games left in the campaign, while leaders Benfica have 81.
* Greek Maria Sakkari rallied from a set and a break down to beat British number one Johanna Konta 2-6 6-4 6-1 and lift her first WTA title at the Rabat Grand Prix in Morocco on Saturday.
* Edinson Cavani missed a stoppage-time penalty as Paris St Germain continued their stuttering end to the season with a 1-1 Ligue 1 draw at home to Nice, with Neymar notching his 50th goal for the club. Despite the recent slump, PSG secured the Ligue 1 title last month and remain 17 points clear at the top of the table, while Nice are seventh on 52 points.
* Lowly Nuremberg moved closer to an immediate return to the second division when they were beaten 2-0 at VfL Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga on Saturday. * French rider Fabio Quartararo became the youngest MotoGP pole sitter at the age of 20 years and 14 days at the Spanish Grand Prix in Jerez on Saturday. The Petronas Yamaha rider also set a circuit record of one minute 36.880 seconds as he clinched his spot at the front of the starting grid.
* Swiss qualifier Jil Teichmann outlasted home favourite Karolina Muchova 7-6(5) 3-6 6-4 in just under three to clinch her first WTA title at the Prague Open on Saturday. The 21-year-old became the first qualifier to win the title in Prague, and is the 20th different WTA winner in 21 events this season.
* Lyon claimed the French women's football league title for the 13th straight year with a 3-0 home victory over Metz in the final round on Saturday. Lyon sit atop domestic league's table five points clear of Paris Saint-Germain, who finished a 1-1 draw at Guingamp.
