The tournament officially wrapped up at the Phai Ve tennis court in Lang Son city, in the northern province of Lang Son, on Sunday, after a week of competition.

Held for the first time in Lang Son by the Vietnam Tennis Federation (VTF), Lang Son provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Lang Son Tennis Federation, the tournament gathered 80 strong tennis aces from across the country.

The men's singles final was once again a "civil war" for the Hung Thinh - Ho Chi Minh City team, as senior Minh Tuan confronted young talent Thai Nguyen. 1993-born Tuan completely overwhelmed his junior teammate and quickly won 6-1 in set 1.

In set 2, Thai Nguyen fought back but efforts by the 17-year-old player only helped him win three games before succumbing to a 3-6 loss, allowing Minh Tuan to win with two straight sets and be crowned champion.

In the women's side, Chanelle Van Nguyen proved too strong for her rival Phan Diem Quynh (Becamex Binh Duong). After only 45 minutes, the Vietnamese American player claimed her title in the women’s singles event with a 6-0, 6-0 win.

Hung Thinh - HCM City team once again proved their strength, winning the first place in all four events at the tournament – men’s and women's singles and men's and women's doubles. On Saturday, Pham Minh Tuan/Le Quoc Khanh won the men's doubles title, while Chanelle Van Nguyen/Dao Minh Trang also bagged the women's doubles trophy, as Tran Thuy Thanh Truc was injured and could not play in the women's doubles final.
