AFC Cup: Binh Duong to host Hanoi FC at Go Dau in ASEAN zonal final’s first leg

According to the draw for the 2019 AFC Cup Inter-Zone Semi-Finals and Zonal Finals held by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) on July 2, the all-Vietnam ASEAN Zonal Final between the reigning Vietnamese Cup winners and the V.League title holders will take place in two turns, with the return leg played at Hanoi’s Hang Day Stadium on August 7.

The winners will face 2018 runners-up Altyn Asyr in the Inter-Zone Semi-final on August 20, with the return leg on August 27.

The other Inter-Zone Semi-final will see Abahani Limited Dhaka of Bangladesh taking on 4.25 SC from DPR Korea, with the six-time Bangladesh champions hosting the first leg on August 21 before travelling to Pyongyang for the second leg on August 28.

The winners of the Inter-Zone Semi-finals will meet in the two-leg final on September 25 and October 2 to decide which team will advance to the AFC Cup final against the West Zonal champions.

The West Zonal Final will see Al Jazeera of Jordan hosting the first leg against Lebanon's Al Ahed FC on September 24. The return leg will be played on October 1.

The AFC Cup final, on November 2, will see new champions crowned to replace Iraq's Air Force Club, who won the last three editions.

In order to participate in the overall final, the Vietnamese representatives will have to pass two hurdles, the Inter-Zone Semi-Finals and Inter-Zone Final, with a total of four matches.
