* England's Robert Rock surged to a one-shot lead in the Irish Open third round with a record-breaking 10-under-par 60 on Saturday, the lowest round in the event's history. Rock, 42, made up 30 places to lead compatriot Eddie Pepperell and Spain's Rafa Cabrera Bello while overnight leader Zander Lombard of South Africa fell to fourth with a two-under par 68. Rock made 11 birdies and nearly finished with a score of 59 before missing a 35-foot eagle putt on the final hole.
* Sweden benefited from poor defending and the video assistant referee to beat England 2-1 in the women's World Cup third place playoff match on Saturday. Early goals from Kosovare Asllani and Sofia Jakobsson were enough to see off Phil Neville's side, who pulled one back through Fran Kirby and had an Ellen White equaliser ruled out for handball.
* Brazil manager Tite said Saturday that he has no plans to quit after Sunday's Copa America final against Peru. "My contract runs until 2022, after the World Cup (in Qatar). It's the contract I have with the CBF," Tite told a news conference.
* The first race of the 2019 Tour de France ended in Brussels on Saturday with Team Jumbo-Visma's rider Mike Teunissen of the Netherlands coming out on top with a sprint finish to take the yellow jersey. Teunissen completed the opening race in 4 hours, 22 minutes and 47 seconds, beating Bora-Hansgrohe's three-time world champion Peter Sagan on the line to win the first leg.

* Liverpool are confident Guinea midfielder Naby Keita can shake off a minor adductor strain sustained in the Africa Cup of Nations and join pre-season training this month, the Premier League club said on Saturday. Keita started his first match in almost two months when he played against Nigeria in their Group B match in Alexandria last month but had to go off after 70 minutes of the 1-0 defeat.
* Honda's MotoGP champion Marc Marquez completed a decade of German Grand Prix pole positions with his 10th in a row in all categories at the Sachsenring on Saturday. The king of the ring lapped the Saxony circuit near Chemnitz with a fastest lap of one minute 20.195 seconds, 0.205 quicker than Petronas Yamaha's 20-year-old French rookie Fabio Quartararo.
* Spain forward Alvaro Morata will join Atletico Madrid on a permanent deal from Premier League Chelsea following the end of his 18-month loan with the La Liga club, both clubs said on Saturday. Morata, who left Chelsea in January to join Atletico, said in May that he had no plans to return to his parent club where his form had dipped last season. The 26-year-old rediscovered his touch in Madrid, scoring six goals in 17 games since his move.
* Melbourne will host the Australian Grand Prix for the 25th time in 2020 with the season-opener for Formula One's 70th season scheduled for Mar 15, the sport announced on Saturday. The rest of the calendar was yet to be published.
* The Kasai Canoe Slalom Centre for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics was officially unveiled on a dreary and foggy morning in the Japanese capital on Saturday, the latest newly-built permanent venue to open on schedule. The venue, which will host the kayak and canoe slalom at the July 24-August 9 Games next year, was the third purpose-built venue to be unveiled on schedule - a further indication of Tokyo’s readiness to host the summer showpiece.
