Griezmann finally sealed his EUR120 million (US$134 million) move from Atletico Madrid to Barca last week and was officially presented to the press and fans on Sunday evening, before starting pre-season training with his new team-mates on Monday.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Barca's TV channel, Griezmann said he was looking forward to the coming season where he will share a place in the Barca attack alongside players such as Luis Suarez and Leo Messi.
"We are going to enjoy ourselves both on and off the pitch; that is why I have come here and I am going to help all that I can."
"I am already looking forward to playing in front of my new fans, they already know me and I am the kind of player who leaves everything on the pitch," he said.
The 2018 World Cup winner had special words for Leo Messi.
"He is the number one in the game, like Lebron (James) in basketball. Lebron is the image of basketball and the NBA the same way that Messi is the image of football. He has something different from other players - something that only happens every 30 years," commented Griezmann.
Barcelona will fly to Japan on Friday to continue a pre-season which will also take in a trip to the USA, before they kick off the new season away to Athletic Club Bilbao on August 16th.
