Nadal breezes into US Open fourth round

Rafael Nadal cruised into the US Open fourth round with a business-like 6-3 6-4 6-2 win over Chung Hyeon on Saturday.

Next up for Nadal is a last 16-clash with 2014 champion Marin Cilic, who came out on top in his slugfest with John Isner on the Grandstand court.

* German sixth seed Alexander Zverev advanced to the fourth round of the US Open for the first time with a 6-7(4) 7-6(4) 6-3 7-6(3) win over Slovenia's Aljaz Bedene on Saturday.

* Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly scored an injury-time own goal to hand Juventus a 4-3 Serie A victory in Turin on Saturday after the visitors had fought back from three goals down.

Team Sunweb's Arndt finished out front among the 20 breakaway riders in the hilly ride through Catalonia from Valls to Igualada, holding his nerve in the slippery conditions to claim his second Grand Tour stage win, his first since the 2016 Giro d'Italia.

* Spanish left back Nacho Monreal left Arsenal after a six-year spell to join La Liga side Real Sociedad while Egyptian midfielder Mohamed Elneny has joined Turkish side Besiktas on a season-long loan, the Premier League club said on Saturday. Monreal, 33, joined Arsenal from Malaga in January 2013 and went on to make 251 appearances for the club, scoring 10 goals.
