Klopp rues wasteful Liverpool after title defence begins with Napoli defeat

* US endurance swimmer Sarah Thomas has become the first person to swim across the English Channel four times without stopping, refuelling only on a liquid formula during her 54-hour feat.

* The Court of Arbitration for Sport has reduced Paris St Germain striker Neymar's suspension from three to two UEFA games for insulting match officials, CAS said on Tuesday (Sep 17). PSG and the Brazilian had appealed against the three-game ban imposed by European governing body UEFA in June, and CAS partially upheld the appeal.

* Dutchman Dylan van Baarle said he is targeting one of the big classics next year after signing a new three-year contract with Team Ineos on Tuesday. * Egypt has been banned from participating in the weightlifting world championships for doping offences, state media said on Tuesday, and the Egyptian Olympic Committee fears the suspension could extend to the 2020 Games in Tokyo.
