Because of the significance of the training session, head coach Park Hang-seo only allowed correspondents to attend the first 15 minutes and did not assign a player to answer the media’s queries as usual.

The morning training session took place at the Circuit Makati Blue Pitch instead of the Binan Football Stadium as arranged by the organisers. This is an artificial-turf field near the hotel where Vietnamese players are staying. It was hired by the Vietnam Football Federation’s logistics department to serve Park and his troops, aiming to avoid them having a long travel and taking a long time due to unfavourable traffic conditions.

Tan Sinh and Trong Hung practise to recover from their injuries under the guidance of doctor Choi.

Concerning the team’s situation, Park will not have the services of defender Huynh Tan Sinh and forward Nguyen Trong Hung in the next match as the duo are recovering from injuries suffered during the previous match against Brunei. According to the team’s doctor, Tan Sinh may recover in time for the Laos clash, but Park will decide whether to use him or not. As for Trong Hung, it will take him a few days to recover from his muscle-related injury.

In the afternoon, the Vietnamese team rested at the hotel and analysed videos to prepare for the match against Laos U22s, scheduled to take place at 3pm today at the Binan Football Stadium.
