The list features many popular names from the national and U22 teams, including Nguyen Quang Hai, Ha Duc Chinh, Nguyen Tien Linh and Nguyen Thanh Chung.
Viettel FC contribute the most players (6), followed by V.League champions Hanoi FC (5), Hoang Anh Gia Lai (3) and SHB Da Nang (3).
Three players had to bid farewell to Vietnam’s U23 team, namely Nguyen Hung Thien Duc, Dung Van Nho and Dang Van Toi.
On January 1, 2020, Park’s troops will depart for Thailand to familiarise themselves with the accommodation, weather and training conditions, with the aim of completing their last-minute preparations for the tournament.

Shortly before commencing their AFC campaign, Vietnam U23s will play one last friendly match, against Bahrain U23s, in Bangkok on January 3. After the clash, the Republic of Korea tactician will evaluate the players and decide on the final 23-man squad for the AFC U23 Championship.
As scheduled, Park’s side will play their first two Group D matches in Buriram, against the United Arab Emirates (January 10) and Jordan (January 13), and will then travel to Bangkok for their last group fixture, against the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, on January 16.
Vietnam U23s have set a goal of making the last three in the continental championship to book a place in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
