Liverpool fight back against West Ham to win five-goal thriller

Runaway Premier League leaders Liverpool had to come from behind and needed some help from two goalkeeping blunders to beat lowly West Ham United 3-2 in a thrilling game and maintain their 100% home record on Monday.

* American teenager Amanda Anisimova claimed the third victory of her career over a top-10 player on Monday by stunning fifth seed Elina Svitolina 6-3 6-3 in the Qatar Open second round.

* Oman's Yousuf Abdulrahim Al Balushi has been banned from cricket for seven years due to match-fixing offences, the International Cricket Council (ICC) said on Monday. Al Balushi was found guilty of breaching the ICC Anti-Corruption Code on four counts relating to Twenty20 World Cup qualifiers held in the United Arab Emirates last year.

* The Republic of Korea's K-league on Monday (Feb 24) postponed the start of the new football season in the face of the growing novel coronavirus outbreak in the country.

* Football chiefs in England, Scotland and Northern Ireland on Monday (Feb 24) announced a ban on heading in training for children up to the end of primary school, to take place with immediate effect. The three football associations issued a statement confirming changes to their heading guidance, which followed a study that showed former footballers were 3.5 times more likely to die from neurodegenerative disease.
