>>> Beating Binh Duong 2-0, Hanoi win National Super Cup
Speaking at a press conference on January 5, Le Xuan Son, Editor-in-chief of Tien Phong Newspaper and co-head of the organising committee, said that this will be the 21st Super Cup game held since its debut in 1999.
If they win the upcoming clash, Viettel FC will lift the trophy for the second time in history, following the supreme victory of their predecessor, The Cong FC, 22 years ago. Meanwhile, Hanoi FC would become four-time champions (after 2010, 2018 and 2019) if they manage to overcome Truong Viet Hoang’s side.

In addition, the organising committee will award VND10 million each to the scorer of the first goal and the most valuable player during the match.
Permitted by authorised agencies, the 2020 National Super Cup game will open its doors to around 5,000 fans, with principles on COVID-19 prevention and control ensured in line with the Ministry of Health’s regulations.
