Football: Tatarusanu proves shootout hero for AC Milan in Italian Cup

* Real Madrid forward Luka Jovic is set to return to former club Eintracht Frankfurt on loan until the end of the season after a poor spell at the Spanish champions in which he scored two goals following his €60 million (US$73 million) move.

* US tennis player Christian Harrison has been fined US$3,000 by the ATP after refusing to take part in a mandatory on-court interview at the Delray Beach Open in Florida as it required him to wear a mask.

* Formula One postponed the Australian and Chinese Grands Prix on Tuesday due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with Bahrain now set to open the season on March 28. Italy's Imola circuit was added to the 23-round calendar as the second race on April 18, with the third slot on May 2 still to be confirmed but expected to be filled by Portugal's Algarve circuit.

* Francisco Cerundolo of Argentina and American Denis Kudla have been withdrawn from the Australian Open qualifying event in Doha after testing positive for COVID-19, organisers Tennis Australia said on Tuesday. The men's qualifying tournament for the year's first Grand Slam is being hosted by Qatar from Jan. 10-13, while the women are competing in Dubai.

* The Lauberhorn, the longest FIS World Cup downhill ski race, has been canceled after Swiss authorities raised fears that staging events in and around the alpine town of Wengen on Jan. 15-17 would risk spreading COVID-19.

* American John Isner will not travel to Melbourne for next month's Australian Open as strict COVID-19 health protocols would have forced him to be away from his family for an extended period, the 35-year-old said on Monday.

* Manchester City welcomed Club Bolivar into the growing City Football Group (CFG) family, announcing the Bolivian giants as their first partner club on Tuesday. While the move is not an acquisition for CFG, whose network encompasses 10 teams and includes Major League Soccer side New York City and Spanish outfit Girona among others, it marks a deal to share strategic advice with Club Bolivar.

* Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero will be out for up to 10 days because the Argentine striker is still isolating after coming into close contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19, manager Pep Guardiola said on Tuesday (Jan 12).

* Two-time former motorbike champion Toby Price is out of the Dakar Rally after the Australian took a severe blow to the head in a crash that left him in a hospital bed on Tuesday (Jan 12).

* MotoGP's pre-season testing in Malaysia has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, championship organisers said on Tuesday. The tests - a shakedown and official session - were due to take place at Sepang circuit in February but Malaysia declared a nationwide state of emergency on Tuesday to curb the spread of the new coronavirus.

* Brazil forward Neymar will return to Paris St Germain's squad for Wednesday's French Super Cup final against Olympique de Marseille after a month out injured, manager Mauricio Pochettino said. Neymar has been out of action since mid-December and his return is a welcome boost for Pochettino, who replaced the sacked Thomas Tuchel at the start of the year.
