Rampant West Brom beat Southampton 3-0 to ignite survival hopes

West Bromwich Albion beat Southampton 3-0 in convincing fashion in the Premier League on Monday as Sam Allardyce's side look to salvage their top flight survival hopes in the home stretch of the season.

West Brom, who beat Chelsea 5-2 last weekend, have won back-to-back games for the first time this season and the 19th-placed side are within eight points of the safety zone with seven games to go.

* Sevilla twice came from behind to claim a 4-3 win at Celta Vigo in a chaotic La Liga game on Monday to keep their slim hopes of a title push alive.

* Barcelona have leapfrogged Spanish rivals Real Madrid to become the world's most valuable football club with a valuation of US$4.76 billion, according to a list published by business magazine Forbes on Monday. Real Madrid, who have topped the list five times in the past, edged Barcelona 2-1 in 'El Clasico' on Saturday but find themselves second best off the pitch with a valuation of US$4.75 billion.

* Aston Villa winger Trezeguet faces a spell on the sidelines after sustaining a knee injury that requires surgery, the Premier League club said on Monday (Apr 12). The 26-year-old Egypt international, who has made 21 appearances in all competitions this season, suffered ligament damage in Saturday's 2-1 Premier League defeat at Liverpool.

* Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Pedro Neto will miss the remainder of the season after sustaining a knee injury, the Premier League club said on Monday (Apr 12). Neto, who has scored five goals and provided five assists in 35 appearances in all competitions, was withdrawn in the first half of Friday's 1-0 win at Fulham and will undergo surgery later this week.

* This year's Davis Cup Finals will be staged in three cities with Turin and Innsbruck added as co-hosts with Madrid, the International Tennis Federation announced on Monday. The men's team event will also be played over 11 days rather than seven after changes ratified by the ITF Board and partner Kosmos Tennis, the Spanish-based investment firm who are ploughing US$3 billion into the sport over 25 years.
