Nutifood made a brilliant debut at the national tournament, maintaining a winning run en route to Thursday’s title decider. Impressive as they were, it turned out that Guillaume Graechen’s side still needs time to stand on par with the experienced players of PVF.

The reigning champions promptly demonstrated their superior power, with attacking coordination between Thanh Nhan, Ba Dat, Anh Quan and Xuan Bac having shaken Nutifood’s defensive line multiple times.

In the 27th minute, Thanh Nhan utilised Nutifood’s defensive mistake to chip the ball over the goalkeeper to open PVF’s scoring. Ngoc Tai doubled their advantage 10 minutes later by firing in on the rebound.

Nutifood brought it to 1-2 going into halftime thanks to Quoc Viet’s penalty late in the opening half.

The parity was almost restored early in the second, but Nutifood captain Trung Hieu shot wide in a one-on-one with the PVF goalkeeper.

The title holders punished Nutifood’s wastefulness by adding two more goals from Thanh Nhan’s strikes later on, thus claiming a well-deserved 4-1 victory.

Alongside the championship trophy, PVF had their joy multiplied as they won two other individual titles, including the “Most Valuable Player” for Nguyen Thanh Nhan and the “Best Goalkeeper” for Nguyen Quang Truong.

Meanwhile, Nutifood’s Nguyen Quoc Viet was named the tournament’s top scorer with eight goals.
