The match-ups to decide the final two Asian tickets to the 2021 FIFA Futsal World Cup have been fixed, as the play-off ties featuring teams ranked fourth to seventh in the Asian standings – Vietnam, Thailand, Iraq and Lebanon – were recently confirmed by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).

The draw means Pham Minh Giang’s Vietnamese side will face Lebanon, while Thailand have been paired with Iraq.

As scheduled, the first leg of the two play-offs will take place on May 20, with the second leg set for five days later.

In the context of COVID-19, the AFC will continue with their strategy of organising the matches at a centralised venue.

To prepare for such an important mission, Vietnam’s futsal team will reconvene in Ho Chi Minh City this May 4 following the conclusion of the first leg of the 2021 National Futsal Championship.
