Kon Tum holds first hot air balloon festival

This is the first time Kon Tum Province has organised a hot air balloon programme, which is a response to "Kon Tum Tourism Forum - Potential and Prospects". The programme aims to celebrate the 47th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975-2022) and the 50th anniversary of the Dak To-Tan Canh Victory (April 24, 1972-2022).

At the festival, the organising board displayed 25 colourful hot air balloons, of which there were three large hot air balloons to serve the experience of visitors. Accordingly, people and tourists participated in flying hot air balloons in the form of suspended flights at a height of 50m with a 360-degree viewing angle, from which they could see and enjoy the beauty of Kon Tum City from a very different perspective.

Deputy Director of Kon Tum Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Xuan Truyen said that through the hot air balloon flight, the province wishes to introduce its unique cultural features to domestic and international friends alike, promote cooperation and tourism development, and attract a large number of tourists to Kon Tum in the coming time. The programme is also an opportunity for the province to connect with other localities to promote trade and investment, develop tourism, and contribute to local socio-economic development.
