The festival is expected to attract international teams from 26 countries and territories and six local teams, in addition to the participation of over 150 artisans.
The event features many activities including a kite exhibition, a kite-making class and flying competitions by category. The intention is to enhance cultural, sports and tourism relations between Vietnam and other countries and to create opportunities for businesses and localities to promote their products and brands.
The fourth festival was held in Ba Ria–Vung Tau province in 2012, with the participation of 60 international artisans from 25 countries and territories, together with 80 kite artisans from different regions of Vietnam.
