Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival slated for March

Speaking at a press conference held in Buon Ma Thuoc City on January 15, Vice Chairman of Dak Lak provincial People’s Committee, Nguyen Tuan Ha, said that the festival aimed to affirm the position of Dak Lak’s coffee, and Vietnamese coffee industry in general, in the world’s market.

It also honours coffee growers and those working in the industry, while calling on the community’s efforts to further promote the brand of Vietnamese coffee.

Through the festival, the image, potential and advantage of Dak Lak province will be widely advertised, thus contributing to attracting investment in trade and tourism to the locality.

Numerous trade and investment promotion activities will be held under the framework of the festival, including the Dak Lak province investment promotion conference, a trade expo on coffee industry, a street carnival, and a book fair.

There will also be cultural and sporting events, including an elephant race, a food fest, a boat race, and reproduction of Central Highlanders’ traditional rituals.

Miss Universe Vietnam 2017 H’Hen Nie, who won a place in the top five of Miss Universe 2018, has been selected as the communications ambassador of this year’s festival.
