Under the programme, a free-flying balloon will provide visitors with a stunning view of the Moc Chau Plateau at sunrise between 6am and 7am each day from February 14-16.

In addition, tethered and performing balloons will fly around Moc Chau district Administrative Centre’s square between 6.30am and 8.30am on February 14-15, which is expected to attract a large number of local people and visitors.

The second International Air Balloon Festival is expected to convey the message of love and happiness to everyone.

The event will also contribute to promoting the image of Son La province, particularly Moc Chau National Tourist Site, to both domestic and international tourists.

A wide variety of unique activities were held on the same day in the northern province of Bac Ninh in response to the ‘Visiting the land of Quan Ho (Love Duet) singing’ Festival, aiming to honour the folk art which was recognised by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity.

A Quan Ho singing contest attracted nearly 350 actors, actresses, singers and instrumentalists from various districts, towns and cities around the province.

In addition, the provincial Spring Press Festival featured over 100 newspaper and magazine titles in the locality, while hundreds of local people joined an ornamental creature exhibition.
