Up to now, the sponsors have transferred the amount of more than VND15 billion to the Festival’s organising committee, out of a total of nearly VND22 billion committed to support the festival. The Military Command of Khanh Hoa province has prepared to install fireworks on barges, around 80m from the coast, to be lit during the opening night.
This year’s Festival will also feature both familiar and new sporting activities: a sea swimming competition, a beach volleyball tournament and a beach football championship, as well as the national Muay club championship and beach physique competition.
During the festival, many events and rituals will highlight the traditional cultural value of the province in particular and the South Central Coastal region of the country in general, including the Cau Ngu festival (festival to pray for a good fishing harvest), Khanh Hoa Salanganes Nest festival, folk games and a swimming competition.
In addition, visitors at the festival can join numerous modern events such as a fine art exhibition, a children’s painting contest themed ‘Khanh Hoa in my eyes’, a world music festival and a street art show.
