Art flower spaces at Da Lat Flower Festival 2019 open

A display of flowers around Xuan Huong lake and an international flower and ornamental plant fair 2019 opened in the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong on December 20.

The events were part of the eighth Da Lat Flower Festival which will last until December 24.

It will include various cultural, art and tourism shows to help promote the city’s image as the land of flowers, such as a Bao Loc silk and a Lam Dong brocade fashion show, as well as musical performances, among others.

In particular, the Week of Tea and Silk Culture of Bao Loc city, and culture spaces of ethnic minority groups such as Ma, K’Ho and Chu Ru will be also be among highlights at the event.

The organising board has also implemented promotions focusing on improving local awareness of environmental protection and social security during the festival, stressing the need to prevent littering during and after the event.

The number of tourist arrivals to Lam Dong are estimated at over 7 million this year, 533,000 of them being foreigners.
