The opening ceremony was attended by Vietnam Ambassador to Cambodia Thach Du and the ambassadors of numerous other countries to Cambodia.

The two-day festival helps to promote the understanding of gastronomy, culture, country and people of ASEAN member states, thus enhancing their friendship.

Around 120 food booths from ASEAN countries including Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam, along with provinces and cities in Cambodia, offer visitors a chance to enjoy the cuisine of ASEAN countries.

The Vietnamese pavilions plated up an array of bold traditional dishes with strong flavours that impressed guests, however, it was the conical dance repertoire of pupils to the tune of ‘My Hometown Vietnam’ that was the highlight of the evening, receiving an enthusiastic response from the audience.

The proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to conduct charitable activities.
