The five-day event features around 100 pavilions of teams from Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, provinces and cities across the country, as well as some other countries around the world such as the Republic of Korea, Japan, China, Russia, Lao and Thailand.

Under the framework of the festival, there are also many accompanying spaces, such as a space for advertising and experiencing special dishes of Nghe An, other Vietnamese localities and some foreign countries; a beer festival space; and a space for displaying and introducing products in the Vietnamese folk and contemporary culinary culture value chain.

The food culture festival not only helps to diversify Nghe An’s cultural and tourism events in 2019, aiming to attract visitors from in and outside the province, but also offers a platform for organisations, individuals and units trading in restaurants, hotels and catering services to exchange and learn from each other’s experiences, thus improving service quality.

A highlight of the festival is the programme on presenting 50 dishes from eel, which are Nghe An specialties, by 25 famous chefs and artisans from across the country, bringing new flavors to customers.

In addition to displaying exhibitions, introducing the value chain of Vietnamese folk and contemporary culinary culture, and introducing and promoting traditional craft products for tourism of Nghe An’s artisans, the organising board also promoted the famous places, landscapes, historical and cultural relics of Nghe An, aiming to attract more visitors.

The festival runs until July 21.
