Many localities resume tourism activities

Many localities across the country have started welcoming their first tourists after the epidemic.

Quang Binh Provincial Department of Tourism coordinated with Dong Hoi Airport and Oxalis Adventure to welcome the first domestic delegation from Ho Chi Minh City on Vietnam Airlines' flight VN1400 on the evening of October 15.

The delegation consisted of six people who came to visit Quang Binh according to a package programme that was permitted by the People's Committee of Quang Binh Province, with an itinerary of three days and two nights of stay to experience services at Chay Lap Farmstay. They also spend a day to explore Hang Tien of the Tu Lan cave system. This is one of the package tours that Oxalis Adventure provides to visitors and is currently receiving great interest from tourists in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

On October 15, Quang Binh welcomed two flights with nearly 100 guests and fully implemented measures to ensure safety against the Covid-19 epidemic. Travellers on flights must self-monitor their health according to regulations and are not required to undergo isolation.

The delegation has a certificate of full vaccination of 2 doses of the vaccine or a certificate of recovery from Covid-19. Guests with Covid-19 test cards in Ho Chi Minh City and Quang Binh Province do not require testing in the localities.

* Lam Dong Province approved the reopening of the local tourism industry from October 15. Accordingly, tourist accommodation business establishments; tourist areas and attractions; and travel and tourist transport are in operation.

Lam Dong Province requires that tourists from outside the province to comply with the local regulations on prevention and control of Covid-19; carry out isolation or health monitoring on a case-by-case basis for people from provinces in level 3 and 4 areas, according to the criteria of the Ministry of Health. Visitors from provinces in level 1 and level 2 regions, strictly follow the 5K message and measures to prevent and control the epidemic according to local regulations.

Visitors to Lam Dong need to prepare the necessary documents on the conditions for Covid-19 prevention and control, have had a certificate of full vaccination of 2 doses of the vaccine or a certificate of recovery from Covid-19.

For tourists traveling on tour, each group must not exceed 25 people (in other cases, register through the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism for consideration and settlement), limit exchanges between groups.

For tourism service providers, the people working at business establishments that welcome tourists must have their full dose of vaccine or have recovered from Covid-19 and be equipped with knowledge on epidemic prevention and control; only serve tourists who meet the above conditions; and develop and publicise tourism programs suitable to epidemic prevention and control measures in the province.

* On October 15, two groups of tourists from Ho Chi Minh City had trips at Binh Chau Hot Springs, Xuyen Moc District (Ba Ria - Vung Tau), after months of anti-epidemic restrictions.

Tran Cong Luan, Director of Binh Chau Hot Springs, said that in order to prepare for the service of guests, the resort organised training for staff and strictly followed the regulations on epidemic prevention and control of the Ministry of Health and Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province.

Previously, the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province allowed four tourist facilities: The Grand Ho Tram Resort & Casino, Melia Ho Tram Resort, Binh Chau Hot Springs (Xuyen Moc District) and Six Senses Con Dao Resort (Con Dao District) to pilot the welcoming of tourists from October 15, but must ensure the conditions for epidemic prevention and control are met.
