NDO – Airlines and railways simultaneously increased the frequency and number of routes from October 21 following receiving permission from the Ministry of Transport.

Representatives from the Vietnam Airlines Group, including Vietnam Airlines, Pacific Airlines and VASCO, said that they restored almost all domestic routes from October 21 to November 30. This number of routes is approximately the same as the total number of routes operated by Vietnam Airlines Group before the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021.

The Vietnam Airlines Group is expected to operate more than 90 flights per day from October 21 and this will increase to nearly 120 flights per day from late October to November.

Other domestic airlines including Bamboo Airways and Vietjet have also restored all domestic routes and increased the frequency of many routes from October 21.

Also from October 21, Vietnam railways are operating one more pair of Thong Nhat passenger trains on the north-south route and some extra trains on the routes of Hanoi – Hai Phong, Hanoi – Vinh, and Ho Chi Minh City – Da Nang.

Previously from October 13-20, Vietnam railways had run two pairs of trains on the north-south route and one pair of trains on the Hanoi – Hai Phong route, meeting the travel demand of more than 15,000 passengers.
