The decision was made in a bid to restore tourism activities and related economic-service industries after a long period of being seriously affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The city will resume activities at pedestrian and non-motorised vehicle streets and night streets in addition to the organisation of tours to Hoi An Ancient Town, Thanh Ha pottery village, Tra Que vegetable village, Bay Mau historical relic site, and Cham Island.

Moreover, Hoi An has decided to offer a 50% discount on ticket prices to the ancient town and traditional craft villages in combination with holding various interesting festivals and entertainment events to stimulate tourism demand.

Director of Hoi An Centre for Culture, Sports, Radio and Television Truong Thi Ngoc Cam said that the city has outlined plans to ensure tourism safety in the new situation while organising self-contained tours for international tourists in the near future.

According to a dispatch recently issued by the Government, Quang Nam will be one of five localities to pilot the reception of international tourists from November 2021 under package tourism programmes held by selected tourism establishments.
