Vietnam Tourism officially on CNBC on air

CNBC - the famous American television channel, officially broadcasted the interview with Deputy head of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) Ha Van Sieu, regarding Vietnam tourism, on January 17 (local time).

This was episode in a special short-form series about tourism, called “CMO NOW: The Road Ahead”, featured under CNBC to give out interviews with senior global marketing leaders on solutions to tourism recovery, in the context of the new normal. The series is broadcast on the CNBC channel and its digital platforms such as Youtube, Facebook, Linkedln and Twitter.

In two short-form episodes, with a total length of two minutes, the leader of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism shared solutions to restore the Vietnam tourism industry, post COVID-19 pandemic, in which focusing on ensuring safety of tourist destinations, strengthening media communication, promotion, innovation and digital transformation.

Deputy head of the VNAT Ha Van Sieu implied Vietnam is a country with diversities of natural and cultural resources. ‘Live Fully in Vietnam’ is the message that Vietnam would like to convey to tourists all over the world, to invite visitors to Vietnam. Additionally, Ha Van Sieu emphasised that Vietnam tourism is further focusing on high-class and business travellers, creating superior products, delivering unique experiences to visitors at luxury resorts in Da Nang and Nha Trang.

Especially, referring to the role of technology in tourism, Deputy head of the VNAT Ha Van Sieu shared with CNBC: the VNAT has developed an application called ‘Vietnam Safe Travel’ with modern technologies to support personalise travellers’ experience, as well as ensure safe and consistent travel.

Regarding the tourism trend post COVID-19 pandemic, the Deputy head spoke of his thought that tourists will choose small group tour forms as their priority, back to nature, and safe destinations. Sustainable tourism at the moment also includes health insurance, safety for tourists and the well-being of local communities in the destination. Deputy head Ha Van Sieu concluded ‘Tourism has the ability to connect people, hearts, create happiness and massive values to our lives’.

Also, in these two short-form episodes, several gorgeous and impressive images about Vietnam tourism have been conveyed to millions of viewers around the world, such as Ha Long, Da Nang, Nha Trang, Phu Quoc, Hoi An, and Quang Tri, along with world-class resorts, famous attractions, exclusive types of tourism in Vietnam such as golf course tours, scuba diving, parachuting, cultural and ecological tours.
