According to the General Department of Tourism, Vietnam has seen strong recovery of both domestic and international tourism since the country fully reopened the tourism market on March 15.
Vietnam received 101,000 foreign visitors in April 2022, a dramatic increase of 242.9% over the previous month and up 520.6% over the same period in 2021.
During the first four months of this year, the country alsowelcomed 192,000 visitors, up 284.7% over the corresponding period last year.
The RoK and the US reported the largest number of tourists to Vietnam including 28,6000 RoK visitors, up 195.1% over the same period last year, and 23,1000 US visitors, up 2,106.4%.
According to data from Google, Vietnam is among the top destinations in terms of search volume for aviation and tourist accommodation, reaching over 75%, coming from countries such as the US, Australia, Singapore, France, Japan, Germany, Canada, India, the UK, and Thailand.
