The event is among the activities within the 2022 National Tourism Year – Quang Nam.

The programme, which will last until July 17, also honours the research values, creativity and craft transmission activities of local artisans.

Hoi An has been developing a dossier to seek UNESCO recognition of the city joining Creative Cities Network in the field of handicrafts and folk arts.

Through the programme, the city has affirmed the values of its traditional trade villages as well as found ways to effectively use its cultural, natural and human resources.

The city will form creative spaces and concentrated display areas of handicraft villages in the future, attracting artisans to the process of making many unique and sophisticated products to meet the needs of consumption and export.
