The figure was released at a conference held by the Hanoi Municipal Tourism Department on July 27 to announce the results of tourism activities since the beginning of this year.

In particular, the capital city welcomed about 425,900 international visitors and 10.2 million domestic tourists.

Hanoi’s total revenue from the tourism industry was estimated at 31.9 trillion, a year-on-year increase of 3.9 times.

In July, about 1.94 million tourists arrived in Hanoi, including 1.8 million domestic visitors and 141,000 foreign arrivals.

The recovery in the number of tourists in Hanoi has led to exciting activities. Since the beginning of the year, the average occupancy rate of 1–5-star hotels was estimated at 31.7%, up 7.8% over the same period last year.

In order to achieve these results, Hanoi authorities conducted many tourism activities following the reopening of tourism industry, such as night tours to the Hoa Lo Prison relic site and Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Ocean Festival at Bao Son Paradise Park, tours of Hanoi City by double decker bus, and bicycle tours.

The Hanoi Municipal Tourism Department will continue to develop many attractive and unique products as well as organise various practical activities to promote the image of the land, people and tourism of the capital city to both domestic and international visitors.
