Airlines reschedule flights due to storm

Vietnam Airlines, Jetstar Pacific and Vasco have announced their cancelation of flights for July 16 over passenger safety amid the tropical storm Talas preparing to land in central Vietnam.

Accordingly, Vietnam Airlines has terminated four flights between Hanoi/Ho Chi Minh City and Vinh city in NgheAn province – VN1714, VN1715, VN1268 and VNA1269.

Jetstar Pacific announced it would cancel four flights between Ho Chi Minh City and the two central cities of Vinh (Nghe An) and Dong Hoi (Quang Binh), flight numbers BL524, BL525, BL350 and BL351.

Two Vasco-operated flights between Hanoi and Dong Hoi, 0V8590 and 0V8591, were unable to depart on the day.

Representatives from these airlines said if there are seats available, affected passengers can switch to flights on the same routes departing the next day free of charge.

They recommended passengers who plan to fly to and from Noi Bai, Cat Bi, Tho Xuan, Vinh, Dong Hoi, PhuBai and Da Nang airports in the current period remain updated on weather forecast and information related totheir flights.
