The festival will run throughout next year with various activities hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, relevant ministries and sectors, the authorities of Khanh Hoa provinces and 14 other participating cities and provinces.
In addition to the opening and closing ceremonies, the year-long festival will include hundreds of events such as a sea tourism programme, a triathlon event, the 2019 Miss Vietnam beauty peasant, and a conference on developing the central coastal areas.
In preparation for the festival, the Khanh Hoa provincial authorities have worked to improve infrastructure systems and traffic networks, and diversify the provinces’ entertainment and tourism services.
According to Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa provincial People’s Committee, Tran Son Hai, the festival will incorporate the annual Nha Trang Sea Festival to promote sea tourism potential, and the natural beauty and traditional culture of Nha Trang city to visitors.
By combining the two events, Khanh Hoa province expects to welcome more than 7 million tourists, including 3 million foreign vacationers, in 2019.
