Addressing the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to India Pham Sanh Chau stated that with open policies, friendly environment, beautiful landscapes and diverse cultural heritages, Vietnam is one of the most attractive potential destinations in the Southeast Asia and the world.

He also noted that the number of Indian tourists to Vietnam has increased rapidly over recent years, with around 85,000 in 2017.However, this figure was not commensurate with the potential for tourism cooperation between the two countries.

Director of the Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation Subhir Sobti emphasised that the road show will contribute to bringing the image of the land and people of Vietnam closer to India as well as promote the exchange between the two peoples.

At the event, travel agencies from Vietnam and India exchanged cooperation and discussed new directions for cooperated tourism activities.
