Promoting Vietnamese tourism with video tools

NDO – Vietnam Tourism Review under the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) and TikTok - an international short video platform officially launched the Vietnam tourism promotion programme with video tools called #HelloVietnam, at a ceremony in Hanoi, on June 13.

The first programme #HelloDanang was implemented from June 15 to create a 24-hour Da Nang travel experience.

The Vietnam Tourism Review and TikTok also officially signed a strategic cooperation to develop content on promoting Vietnamese tourism on the TikTok platform; research and propose projects on promoting Vietnam tourism to target markets such as Japan, the Republic of Korea, Thailand and Australia in the next stage.

#HelloVietnam is a part of activities in the global tourism promotion campaign initiated by TikTok with the name #TikTokTravel to honour the destinations around the world, bringing a new spectacle on tourism and cultures to international friend closer.

The main goal of the programme #HelloVietnam in the period of 2019-2020 is to create 30,000 short video with the content on Vietnam’s landscape, culture and people.

Accordingly, the Vietnam Tourism Review will coordinate with member agencies to effectively implement the programme; operating the "VietnamTourism" account on TikTok application to promote for Vietnam tourism.

The account "Vietnam Tourism" on TikTok platform will introduce unique tourism products of Vietnam, being a new communication channel for the tourism industry in an effort to implement the digital transformation to Vietnam. The VNAT expects the cooperation model to be a breakthrough, mobilizing resources from the business community into promotion activities of the tourism industry.
