The five-day programme will feature a wide variety of activities held in various locations in the city, such as Van Mieu Park Square, the Do Cong Tuong temple, and Hai Ba Trung park.

The grand opening ceremony delighted spectators with a floating stage and colourful and unique art performances.

Safe agricultural products as well as tourism products and specialties of Dong Thap province and other neighbouring provinces and cities are being showcased at the event.

Notably, Dong Thap province will coordinate with Quang Nam province to hold the Cao Lanh – Hoi An cultural and tourism programme, consisting of activities to introduce don ca tai tu (traditional musical art form of the south), ho (a ditty sung while working) of Dong Thap, and Bai choi (a popular style of folklore singing in the central and south central regions of Vietnam), the calligraphy on lotus leaves, famous dishes and folk games of the two localities.

In addition, a culinary contest will be held with the participation of Mekong River Delta localities.
